McCain Misses My Sweet Spot.

No surprises to those who know me, but I just want to vent about how much I do not like the McCain/Palin ticket. (Okay... mostly McCain. If we add Palin in on the discussion, my post would turn into a novel.)

1) All he talks about is Vietnam. Sure, I consider him a very strong person for being able to survive such horrendous acts, but that doesn't make him a more capable candidate for the presidency.

2) He claims to keep his "Country First" even though he's more interested in Iraq than the U.S. If he REALLY cared about the U.S. he would want a specific time line to get the troops out of there so we can save trillions of dollars on war and spend it on OUR country!

3) Education: McCain wants "increased competition" between schools and says that parents should have the right to choose which schools their children go to. While that's all well and good, he says NOTHING about how he plans to FUND the schools. Sure, those with money can afford to get up and move or just transport their children to a school in a "better" district, but what happens to those who can't? Or, if McCain is trying to propose that failing schools should pay for such transportation, where will they get the money? From the non-existent federal funding? I'll tell you what will happen: even more failure and school closures. That will only increase already growing class sizes, which will leave MANY more children "Left Behind."

4) Sarah Palin.

5) He continually calls himself a maverick. (Along with that Palin chick.) I think Barack has done a good enough job explaining how this seems strange since he's voted in agreement with good ol' G.W. 90% of the time, so I won't go too deep into that discussion. Basically, he is trying to dupe us into thinking he's for "Change" with his decoy, the "Female Firecracker." He wants us to think, "Gee wiz, Batman! He is running with a FEMALE! That's new!" New gender; same old politics.

6) The Republican ticket claims that us Dems want a "Big Government" that controls our choices. Seems to me we're Pro-Choice. Hmm... (I know I wouldn't make my 17 year old daughter marry her boyfriend because of a mistake.)

7) Internet and technology are HUGE parts of our new world, and he doesn't even know how to check his email. Call me crazy, but is it really that hard to do?

8) McCain pokes at Obama for raising taxes, but change doesn't come for free. It has a price, and that comes through taxes. The question is: what's more important - a little more taxes, or a better country? (Remember - Country First!)

I'll stop now. Sorry for deviating from advertising. If you need an ad fix, visit YAYBIA to get caught up. I've been cheating on you with them for a while now. But they are fabulous. Don't worry.
